LUBBOCK, Texas – Head coach Tom Stone announced Thursday the signing of Eva Hurm, a forward from Notre Dame who will come to Texas Tech as a graduate transfer eligible this fall.

"I'm so excited to continue my college career at Texas Tech," said Hurm. "The staff is amazing and I'm looking forward to being at a new place with such great soccer and academics."

"Eva will be a terrific addition for us heading into the fall," said Stone. "It became apparent quickly in the process that she was a great fit for everything we strive to be here. She shares our team values in the classroom, the locker room and the field."

Stone continued: "Eva has played at the top level her entire career. She has proven to be a terrific finisher and creator for others, especially with her flank service. We welcome her maturity, experience and strong desire to win into our program and can't wait to start working with her in preseason."

On her way to the 806?

Hurm will bring with her to Lubbock 57 games worth of collegiate experience playing in the ACC. She was penciled into the Fighting Irish's starting lineup in 50 of those 57 games over her four seasons in South Bend. 2019 was her breakout year with the Irish as she knocked in a team-leading three game-winning goals and ranked second on the team in goals (five) and points (13). For that junior season effort, during which the Irish advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, Hurm was named to the All-ACC Third Team and voted an All-Region selection by the United Soccer Coaches.

Hurm's 2018 began with a training camp invitation with the U.S. U-19 National Team that February. When her collegiate season rolled around, she started in 16 of 17 games for the Irish and set then-career highs in goals (three) and points (eight) as a sophomore.

Hurm signed with the Fighting Irish out of the decorated BEC Stallions in New Jersey. She was an All-American playing for North Highlands Regional and attended camp with the U.S. U-18 National Team.

In the classroom, Hurm has been named to the All-ACC Academic team and was a CoSIDA First Team Academic All-District selection in 2019. She recently received her bachelor's in Industrial Design with a minor in Digital Marketing from Notre Dame and will pursue her master's in Environmental Design at Texas Tech.

Hurm will join the Red Raiders as yet another exciting offensive weapon on a team that returns All-American Kirsten Davis, All-Region midfielder Jordie Harr and even more firepower in dynamic attackers Charlotte Teeter and Macy Schultz.
