The Texas A&M Football program has quickly established itself as a recruiting force to be reckoned with over the past few seasons. Jimbo Fisher has had top ten classes in each of his seasons in College Station.

No matter where Fisher lands, he turns his program into a recruiting force. This much is evident by the fact that his teams have as much talent as anybody in the league, with perennial top ten classes.

In 2021, Fisher has the 8th-ranked class in the country. This would mark his third straight season of a top ten recruiting class.

A Texas A&M Football commit just gave us a hint at how Jimbo Fisher maintains such strong recruiting

This past week, a commit may have revealed some of the magic behind his future head coach’s success. That commit goes by the name of Bobby Taylor II.

Taylor is a 4-star recruit in the 2022 class who has already taken a handful of visits to College Station. His next will break double digits.

As a top-25 cornerback in his class, Taylor has become a hype man for the Aggies, working with other recruits to try to bring them to Aggieland. The Katy, Texas native had an impressive offer sheet, with offers from Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, Notre Dame, and almost any other relevant college football program you can think of.

This week, Sports Illustrated took an inside look at the Aggie commit, who revealed a new detail behind the Aggies’ success. Here’s what he said about his upcoming visits to College Station.

“Getting all those guys on campus, it was business, to me, at the end of the day. I see this as my class and I’m trying to build it to be one of the best classes that A&M has ever had and being able to get those guys on campus this past weekend, those are some of our top guys.”

Bobby Taylor II is one of a few recruits, including 5-star quarterback Connor Weigman, who have done an excellent job helping out Jimbo Fisher to bring another top ten class to town. Taylor broke it down best with a one-liner.

“I’m a recruit turned recruiter.”

Hopefully, his recruiting pays off, as the Aggies will need all of the talent that they can get in order to get past Alabama, a school that has been virtually unbeatable in recent years.
